Returning to Anderlecht has been hismost passionate yet rational decision – but Vincent Kompanys start to life as player-manager hasnt gone to plan.
Former Anderlecht manager Frank Vercauteren was appointed head coach on Thursday to curtail the club form that was ancient.
While Simon Davies falls back to the role of trainer , the team has been abandoned by technical manager Frank Arnesen.
But Manchester City captain the place of Kompany is untouched.

Arnesen is replaced by former player and manager Vercauteren less than a year on from his appointment in December 2018.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Lives Euro Leagues podcast, Belgian football journalist Kristof Terreur contested whether Kompany had made the ideal decision.
